The following is a brief synopsis of how the company originated.

In the spring of 2007 I read an article in the Toronto Star about a company in the United States that converts diesel powered vehicles so that they can run on vegetable oil.   Needless to say I was very impressed.

I began to conduct research and to my surprise found out that the inventor of the diesel engine, Rudolph Diesel, developed a diesel prototype so that it could originally run on peanut oil.

I was quite shocked to learn that the technology was some one hundred and twenty years old.

The more I researched the topic the more I realized the implications - too numerous to mention here.

I then decided to research the so called vegetable oil economy and to my amazement discovered that billions of liters of Waste Vegetable Oil otherwise known as WVO are dumped, in some cases illegally, down sewers, behind back alleys, etc, by restaurants and other organizations involved in the food industry in North America every year.

I then decided to form a company that could access the niche market associated with so called 'mom and pop' shop restaurants and other food service organizations or associations that produce a lot of WVO in the Toronto area.  These independant restaurants and food service organizations which in some cases have a relatively small profit margin often don't want to pay to have their 'yellow grease' disposed of by rendering companies.

With a lot of patience, dedication and effort not to mention a lot of 'elbow grease' - no pun intended, the company was born in the summer of 2007.

Since that time I have managed to acquire contracts with various restaurants in the Toronto area and other organizations directly or indirectly associated with the food industry.

In the future we hope to branch out by selling all types of renewable energy products to a variety of individuals and organizations that have expressed a desire to lessen their environmental impact.

It's been a very tough haul so to speak that began as a dream but with my continued efforts and the support of people who truly care about our collective carbon footprint perhaps we can really do something to save our little blue ball in space we call Earth for future generations.

I know I'm currently doing my part.  If we all did something, anything to help lessen our carbon footprint, whether it's drive a vegetable oil powered car, install solar panels on our rooftops, use wind turbines in non environmentally sensitive areas, etc, the world would be a much cleaner more sustainable place to live in.

We live in a world that is finite and I'm very fortunate to live in a part of it that is blessed with an innumerable number of natural resources, resources that I don't want to see unnecessarily squandered.

I took many things for granted before but one thing that we can and must never take for granted is our environment.  It's the one thing we can't afford to 'trash', again, no pun intended.

Let's all do our own part to help clean up our collective home, the only one we have.  You don't have to do anything grand.  It can be as simple as carpooling or walking to the local store more often.  Look into retrofitting your home with the latest windows, furnaces and energy efficient appliances.  If you're really motivated you can purchase a diesel vehicle and have it converted to run on vegetable oil, a carbon neutral fuel.

Together we can make a difference.
